Introducing a revolutionary series of Hydromatic quality submersible non-clog pumps, the new H4H and H4HX Series. The new field-proven H4H submersible non-clog pumps and the F.M. approved, explosion-proof H4HX Series yields the best of both worlds by providing greater pump efficiency and a steeper non-overloading performance. The H4H Series provides flows up to 850 GPM and heads to 105' TDH while passing a full three inch spherical solid (as required by the “Ten States Standards” policy for submersible non-clog pumps). The enhanced geometry of the mono-vane impeller creates a smoother design, allowing the Hydromatic H4H non-clog pump to pass a full 3" spherical solid while maintaining high efficiency. The dependable, oil-cooled motor is rated for use with VFD (variable frequency drive) suitable to deliver outstanding performance in a wide range of wastewater pump applications. In addition, the motor has a Class H insulation for demanding pump applications. The new Hydromatic H4H and H4HX Series are available in 7.5 HP through 15 HP motors with speeds up to 1750 RPM.

The H4HX explosion-proof series is rated Class I, Division 1, Group C and/or D for hazardous locations. The Hydromatic H4H and the H4HX Series are available with a choice of either a dependable Hydromatic
pultruded lift-out rail system or a reliable metal-to-metal lift-out rail system. Non-sparking rail options for hazardous locations are also available. The new H4H Series submersible non-clog pump and rail system is coupled with a quality Hydromatic custom control panel for a complete packaged system.

Enhanced Mono-Vane Impeller Design
The enhanced geometry of the mono-vane impeller creates a smoother design, allowing the new Hydromatic H4H Series to pass a full 3" spherical solid while maintaining high efficiency.

The dual seal system operates in an oil chamber to provide long pump service life. John Crane Type 21 seals are standard in the new H4H and H4HX Series, while the stainless steel shaft eliminates corrosion and fatigue. The minimum shaft overhang decreases deflection and increases bearing and seal life. A tapered shaft allows for easy removal of the impeller for enhanced serviceability.

The multiple epoxy barrier design featured by Hydromatic is the most proven sealing method available. The cord connection box of the pump features barriers providing triple protection against motor-damaging water. Two epoxy barriers and a compression fitting keep water out of the motor to provide long-term reliable operation. In addition, a water-tight seal at the cable entry is ensured with a single trumpet-shaped elastomer grommet flanked by a washer and compression gland. The top epoxy barrier keeps water out of the cord connection box and the lower barrier keeps moisture out of the motor area when the cord is disconnected. Leads going through both epoxy barriers are stripped down to bare wire at staggered intervals and each lead is individually separated. This lead-encasing design prohibits any wicking or capillary water movement inside the cord.

The new Hydromatic H4H and H4HX Series incorporates an internal moisture sensor that detects the presence of moisture in the oil chamber. The sensor sends a signal to the warning system notifying the user if the lower seal should begin to leak. The moisture sensor allows for convenient proactive maintenance rather than reacting to an emergency breakdown. This pro-active approach allows maintenance to be scheduled while the pump continues to operate.

The new F.M. approved, explosion-proof Series of the H4HX are rated Class I, Division1, Group C and/or D for hazardous locations. This certified explosion-proof pump can be used for applications such as sewage wet wells where flammable gases exist. Reliable, safe operation is ensured as all castings are inspected for porosity before, during and after machining. The H4HX Series features a double moisture sensors in the oil chamber providing extra security.

The sensors are electrically isolated and made with stainless steel connections and stainless steel probes. Plus, the special labyrinth joint provides added protection by preventing flame or spark travel to the media being pumped.

The H4HX Series features flame-proof close tolerance joints of 1-1/4" flame paths. These close tolerance joints prevent any internal spark or fire from escaping into the environment. The explosion-proof housing wall is thicker throughout the case to provide extra containment capability. The Hydromatic H4HX Series provides heavy duty bearings (minimum B-10 life of 50,000 hours) for long pump life.
