Level Control Specifications
The complete Hydromatic HPLC level control system must be contained in a single non-metallic assembly. The outer shell of the assembly shall be constructed of PVC with a minimum wall thickness of .200”. Liquid level sensing shall be accomplished by means of a reliable Zero Friction Rolling Diaphragm.

The diaphragm shall be constructed of Nitrile®. Increases in the liquid level will exert more pressure on the rolling diaphragm causing the adjustable level switches to operate. The level switches shall be mounted on a switch track with a minimum of 20 easily adjustable set points. Each level switch contained in the assembly shall be rated a minimum of 5 amps at 115 volts, and be of the SPDT configuration. The level switch track assembly shall be constructed of ABS. Access to the switch track shall require no tools. The liquid level to switch actuator travel ratio must be a minimum of 5 to 1.

The level switch assembly shall not contain any mercury, or bubbler tubes, and no cords or electrical components will be submerged. The level switch assembly shall operate within it’s own diameter and shall not be affected by turbulent conditions. Switches that require lateral movement will not be accepted. Under normal operating conditions the level sensing diaphragm shall remain submerged to eliminate problems caused by grease build up or floating debris. Mounting of the assembly shall be accomplished by means of a stainless steel bracket with thumb screws to allow for overall height adjustment and ease of maintenance.

The complete assembly must be constructed so that level adjustments and normal maintenance procedures do not require any tools to complete.
